The Most Important Thing...

Regardless of who you are, or why you are looking at this website, the most important thing in your life is to consider where you will spend eternity.
Think of this, you would never sell your eyes for a million dollars would you? Consider then how much your soul (that looks out of your eyes) must be worth. Jesus said, "For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"

Are You A Good Person?

Most people would answer with a quick "Yes". But how do we define "good"? If we leave the definition of good and bad to ourselves, everyone would judge themselves to be good, including murderers, rapists, thieves and liars. Only God has a right to define what good is. He gave us a moral law so we could judge ourselves by His standards. This moral law is commonly known as the Ten Commandments. With that in mind, let's revisit our question...

Have you always honored and worshipped God in your life, never letting your own interests come above His interests in you life? If not, you have broken the first commandment. How many lies do you think you have told in your life? If you told even one, you have broken the ninth commandment. We have just looked at a few of the ten commandments to show how badly we have all broken them. To try to stand before God on judgment day and argue our goodness against His perfect law would be a horrible mistake that would cost you your soul.

Good News For Bad People!

None of us like to admit we are bad people (sinners). Sinners however, are the only people Jesus came to forgive. Read through the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), and you will notice that people who thought they were good people, never received forgiveness from Jesus, because they didn't think they needed it. Those who came admitting their sin, and seeking forgiveness found it. The same thing is true today. Multitudes of people think their religion, church attendance or morality makes them good before God. These people will never admit they are sinners in need of forgiveness, thus they will lose their souls on judgment day. The only people who will be saved are those who admit their sin and ask Jesus Christ to forgive them. He can forgive because He paid the price for our sins when He died on the cross. God can accept that payment for our sins, instead of punishing us like we deserve. This is more than good news, it is the best news ever!!
